54-year-old Jayne started having severe back pain five years ago. She was diagnosed with a degenerative disease and was given steroid injections which did nothing to improve her condition. She was in pain 24 hours a day and her hips seemed to be getting worse and worse – they were too painful to touch and she had numbness in her thigh. She couldn’t do housework, make the bed or even do the shopping. Jayne could only manage sleeping for a maximum of an hour and a half and would have to sit up and turn 90 degrees to change position.

Something had to change. Jayne’s spinal consultant suggested she see Mr Vedi – as he offered treatments that might be able to help her.

Jayne saw Mr Vedi face-to-face towards the end of August who quickly diagnosed her condition as bilateral trochanteric bursitis. In the September Jayne had a platelet enriched plasma injection into both hips at BMI Bishops Wood Hospital in Northwood.

Jayne commented: “I had been in constant pain for six years and after numerous hip and back procedures that had little or no relief, Mr Vedi carried out plasma therapy on both of my hips. The procedure was completely painless and after a few weeks of physiotherapy I am pain free, walking tall without pain and back exercising for the first time in five years. I can now sleep without waking up every hour or so because of the pain. Mr Vedi - you are a complete miracle worker. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
